The Foundation
The Heart of the Work
I believe lasting change begins with an identity shift.
Whether you're rebuilding your health, changing a behavior, leading a team, or creating a life that feels more like your own, knowing what to do is rarely the hardest part.
The harder question is:
Who do you believe you are capable of becoming?
My work sits at the intersection of movement, behavior change, exercise psychology, and human performance. I help people turn intention into action by building the mindset, systems, and evidence they need to become the person they're trying to be.
I call this the Architecture of Resilience: the practical foundation that makes meaningful change sustainable.
From Crisis to the International Stage
My story didn't begin on a stage or in a boardroom.
It began in a locked psychiatric unit.
After years of trauma, I was told I was too disabled to work a full-time job. At one point, I felt so powerless that I couldn't imagine a future beyond the life I was living.
Then I found movement.
I laced up a pair of running shoes, and something began to change.
Running gave me more than physical strength. It gave me evidence.
Evidence that my body was capable.
Evidence that discomfort didn't mean I had to stop.
Evidence that I could keep going even when I was afraid.
One mile became another. One class became another. One small promise kept became another.
Eventually, I realized something that would shape the rest of my work:
Transformation isn't a lightning bolt. It's a series of behaviors that teach you who you are becoming.
I didn't simply "get better."
I built a new identity.
That identity carried me from surviving to leading—from the trail to fitness leadership, operations, community strategy, international speaking, and a career built around helping other people create meaningful change.
"For so long, everyone around her tried to smother her light. But Lisa found that one person who believed in her, and she fought her way out... She went from victim to victor, becoming stronger than she ever knew she could be."

The Integrated Toolkit
Today, I bring together more than a decade of experience across fitness, coaching, leadership, operations, community building, and behavior change.
Movement
As a certified fitness professional, running coach, and fitness instructor, I've experienced firsthand how powerful movement can be as a tool for confidence, resilience, and behavior change.
I don't believe exercise is simply about changing how your body looks.
It's about changing what your body teaches you that you're capable of.
Behavior Change
My graduate work in Coaching & Fitness Leadership, combined with years of coaching and real-world experience, has deepened my focus on the psychology behind lasting change.
I’m interested in the space between knowing what to do and actually doing it—and what helps people consistently cross that gap.
Strategy & Systems
I've spent my career learning how to turn big ideas into systems that actually work.
From building fitness programs and leading teams to developing community strategies and behavior-change initiatives, I bring an operational lens to human performance.
Because motivation matters.
But systems make change repeatable.
What I Do Today
Today, my work spans speaking, behavior change, fitness, community strategy, and human performance.
I've spoken internationally about behavior change and becoming your strongest self. I've built fitness education and community programs, developed behavior-change strategies, led teams and operations, and helped organizations think differently about how people engage, connect, and change.
Whether I'm speaking to a room full of fitness professionals, developing a member-retention strategy, coaching someone through a behavior change, or logging miles on the trail, I'm exploring the same question:
What helps people become the person they already know they could be?
That question is at the center of everything I do.
The Work Ahead
I'm currently developing these ideas into my upcoming book, Stepping into Strength, where I explore the connection between movement, identity, resilience, and
lasting behavior change.
My goal isn't to tell you to simply "be stronger."
It's to help you understand how strength is built.
Because your past may explain where you started.
Your circumstances may influence what you're carrying.
But with the right tools, systems, support, and repeated evidence of your own capability, you can begin building something different.
A different body.
A different relationship with yourself.
A different set of behaviors.
A different identity.
That's the foundation.
And that's where the next chapter begins.
